Unreal Audio Visualizer

Unreal Engine Vertex Displacement Audio Visualizers, using MetaSounds.

I made an Unreal Engine 5.5 Audio Visualizer, that uses vertex displacement and a fragment shader to show the amplitudes of different frequency bands. Using the vertex displacement, it is able to have the audio bands make holes in the mesh.

Unreal Engine Meta-Sounds was used for the audio analysis, I extract a buffer of amplitude values, this gets stored in a 2d texture of 1xN dimensions (N is the amount of audio bands), a C++ function copies the values into the texture with a single memcpy. In the material a custom hlsl node is used, that extracts the correct audio value from the texture, after which it is turned into an evenly spaced amount of bars, the amount of which is determined by the amount of selected audio bands.
